S Series
The S series covers traditional infill smoothers: handled and unhandled patterns, a range of bedding angles, and variations in side metal and stuffing species. Each plane is built as a one-off.
Past Builds
2 3/8" O1 blade bedded at 45°. Sole length is 7 1/2". The body is constructed the same way they were in the eighteenth century: dovetails connecting the sides to the sole and through pins peened and filed flush until they disappear. The stainless steel lever cap is attached to the body with shop-made barrel nuts so it can be removed for maintenance or repairs.
